The 330-acre Lower Devil’s Swamp Mitigation Bank is a new wetland mitigation bank approved by USACE Mobile District Mitigation Banking in 2013. The bank has the following mitigation credit types available:

Pine savanna
Bottomland hardwood forest

Work completed by Cypress at this bank includes the following:

Jurisdictional wetland delineation
Threatened/endangered species study
Habitat mapping & characterization
Ecological function assessments
Development of restoration success criteria & monitoring plan
Baseline ecological site profile
Restoration work plan and budget

These studies were developed and used by Cypress to complete the Mitigation Bank Prospectus and Mitigation Bank Instrument for the site.
