Ohr-O’Keefe Museum

Cypress was contracted by LA+South, a landscape architecture firm to develop habitat templates as a basis for incorporating native plantings into the landscape of the Ohr O’Keefe Museum in Biloxi, Mississippi. Cypress researched the most applicable habitat types present on coastal nearshore locations along the Gulf of Mexico and documented the species composition and plant community structure. The documentation and data Cypress developed were used by LA + South to develop a planting design incorporating native plants into the master landscape plan for the museum and to follow museum architect Frank Gehry’s concept for the site.
